Just got back from parent's evening at Lil' Miss Shellshock's school. Glowing reports academically, which is all good but I got a chance to look through some of her work and found a project she's done on her favourite things. Expecting to find a list of High School Musical and Horse related nonsense I was immensely proud to find her list also contained Superstars, VW campervans and Bull Terriers.

So it's true when they say "The apple never falls far from the tree"

When I was working at a school I was dead happy on a charity day a couple of the kids came in wearing soops (classic white/blacks). One of them tried to jack my lux's though - they're only bloody eight!

Indeed, I'd be a very proud dad.

Many of my friends have had kids in the last year or so and they have all gotten a pair of superstars from me and the wife for birthday/christmas.

At the time I did get a few odd looks, however I have recently spoken to the dads and lo and behold they've gotten a pair of shelltoes themselves.

Today I had double glazing and new doors installed at my house, my head is still ringing from all the bloody noise of having the windows pulled out and re fitted! but I do have nice new doors and locks, and now my front door key doesnt look like a shed key, it looks like an actual house key! (my house had locks on it with big old skool keys)

Found another polo gt saloon thats marked as a 1 litre. Bad news is its 190 more than i have now, and its in surrey.
Also been helping a friend opf mine with her photography coursework, half the time catching her halfway through taking pictures of my arse :/

I’m on my 3rd 360 and 2nd PS3.

First time I had to send my console back to Microsoft (well ,their repair agents in Bristol) they took 2 days to come and collect it, another 7 days for it to actually arrive in Bristol from Nottingham, then lost it internally. I eventually got a replacement console 3 weeks and 3 days after I contacted them. That lasted another 4 months before succumbing to The Red Ring Of Death. Turns out it wasn’t new after all but a “reconditioned” one. So, off that goes to Microsoft. The couriers had got their act together slightly more and it only took 4 days to arrive this time.

Wait a week and a couple of days, hear nothing so decide to call them up. “Yes Mr.Shellshock, we sent your repaired console out yesterday, should be with you tomorrow” Tomorrow comes and goes, no console. Call couriers “Yes we delivered it this morning” which was correct. Only problem is they delivered it to some random address on the other side of the city. 5 days later my 360 finally returns to me. To be fair they did give me a free game for all the hassle but it was a shit Platinum Range cheapy “Crackdown” which I only got £8.00 for when I flogged it. Ace.

In total it’s taken Microsoft over 5 weeks to repair/replace my console twice. To say I’ve been less than impressed with the whole experience is somewhat of an understatement.

Compare that with when my PS3 died after crashing during an update. Happened on a Monday, called them up, straight through, call made in less than 10 mins. Earliest they could collect was the Wednesday but the courier would already have a replacement console with him and would simply swap it for me there and then. No waiting, no chasing them to see where it is, no fuckin around.

Wednesay arrives, knock at the door, swap the dead console for a fresh new one and 5 mins later and it’s COD4 and spliff O’clock. Total turn around time of less than 48hrs.

damn! well, I'm not getting that kind of service from Sony, but they will receive the console tomorrow and should have it back to me by end of next week. Yes, fingers are crossed.

I guess the service must differ from country to country. Still, if they get it back to you by next week as promised then that's not too shabby.

Had and interview earlier today for a full time job, went reasonably well

Then met up with a friend, grabbed a Maccy D's, it was a bit bizzare, looked like I was sat in a ridiculously brightly coloured Ikea tribute showroom, and they were blasting classical music and there were flowers on each table... wtf has happened to Maccy D's?

Just got in and got a call to say that the company want to have me in for a second interview next week Very pleased considering they said they would be calling people in 2 days and they called me in about 2 hours...
Now I'm at my yard chilling, but will be popping out later to discuss arrangements for a friends stag do in amsterdam
