I had a similar experience with DHL Big rob, I also live on a main road, by the time I found my keys to answer the door he'd filled in a slip and was off down the drive, left my parcel in the "porch" the only problem being I don't have a bloody porch it was on the door step! They also did a similar thing a year or so a go with a parcel and we weren't living at the house at the time.

I'd of made a claim for fraud personally..Fook it serves him right for not doing his job properly!!
I guess the moral of the story is...All delivery/postal services are shite and can't be trusted to deliver a service even if you pay the extra for peace of mind.
Which sucks bigtime when your in my position trying to get rid of alot of things and posting items allover the world.
No1s gonna do pickup only and drive 50miles for a £10 keyring or whatever are they!!
Cheers carly btw i was gonna give UPS a go..don't think ill bother
Don't suppose any1 knows how much weight them carrier pigeons can carry??

Ha ha ! I should put sausages in his pockets & lock him in the van with my dog ! My wife sent me that pic of him with that captain America mask on , pissed myself laughing for ages !
Pokey , I've already set the wheels in motion with the fraud claim . Apparently the loss prevention officer from dhl is coming to see me on Monday with the relevant paperwork . It cost me £240 so there's no way I'm forgetting about it ! I really don't give a shit if he loses his job .

I mentioned the defects I had with my latest vins (browns and crafts pack). I decided to order another pair of browns which arrived today but I spotted something
again. I just want your opinions. Can this become a problem? For those who can't see what's the problem. The sole is not covering the leather.
And some pics of the crafts pack vins:
Look at the eyestay. The creases are not so visible on these pics:
The shell doesn't fit properly on the left. It pushes the leather/eyestay outside:
The other shoe:
I can cut the shell a bit on the inside, maybe that will bring everything back in place and I'm not sure offcourse.
What do you guys think? Am I being a perfectionist again or are my complaints justified?

Send them back mate , why should you have to start cutting anything ? Poor quality checks !

I think you're getting into trouble with the brown vins. This is a highly stressed part of the shoe. In the worst case the gap becomes bigger.
With the craft pack vins I don't know.

If your not happy with them Rob send them back, if you keep them the defects will be all you'll be able to see and it'll drive you mad!
Pokey it was DHL I had problems with not UPS, they're not the same company are they
Nice avatar Rob

You're right. That's what I thought when I received the first pair of brown vins with the dent in the shell. I tried to fix it but I could still see the imperfection of the shell. I decided to buy a new pair and what do ya know: another defect

Fritze - 18-02-11
Fucked up situation. You'll have to wait a little until you're getting both of the pairs for the prices you've paid. Maybe. I've seen some brown vins and some crafts pack vins but more expensive atm.
