Because of all the snow that's fallen the last couple of days and the freezing the roads are slippery as shit over here, one of the reasons that I decided to stay at home today because I don't wanted to be involved in any accidents. So I'm comfortable sitting on the couch watching tv when I hear something, so I go outside to take a look at what's going on and F#CK..... Someone slipped off the road and crashed his car into the back of my car that was parked there...
The positive thing is that that guy and his girlfriend weren't hurt, but all the damage on my car, all the insurance crap and going to the damagerepaircompany (don't even know if this is a correct English word, I translated it litteraly from the Dutch word
) tomorrow on my day off really makes my blood boil.

Spaces in between each word and you're good to go.
We'd probably call it a garage though, or a mechanic.

At least it wasn't a hit & run. Hopefully you'll get that sorted soon enough.

That sucks Marco. Like Dregz said, thank god it wasn't a hit and run. That happened to me 3 times while my car was parked. Good luck with the repair dude!

My wife gets a call from our daycare last Tuesday (30 November): 'We're concerned about your daughter's development when she starts in February. She needs to be able to sit up on her own and she needs to be mobile. We're concerned she might get trampled'.
Next day they call back, 'We're not concerned any longer about her mobility. We'll make sure she's fine. By the way, we've changed our policy and in addition to the $500 deposit you've already paid we will need first and last month's tuition. $3000. And we'll need it in December'. (My wife's response: 'um...it is December.)
Yesterday, by some stroke of luck, we get a call from a much closer, much cheaper daycare. We visit, everything's cool, we sign up.
Today I phone the first daycare to cancel, citing both the 'trampling' comment as well as their sudden change of policy as reasons: 'Oh, she was scheduled to start February 1. I don't think we can refund your $500 deposit...'
AARGH!!!

That sucks bigtime Z. No possibility of getting it back? Tdday my blood has been far from boiling, its been pretty much freezing in my veins. Came home from work this morning to find my pipes frozen so no water in any of the rooms. Had to go to the gym just to take a shower

Tell them you'll take them to small claims court, if you have such a thing over there, if you don't get your money back.

Bit of an empty threat, though. Internet smear campaign would be a much more effective (and more easily executed)

That might actually work Z. I had to use that once against one seller. He was selling some kitchen equipment and we thought to give it a try but after a couple of days he said that we already promised to buy them and it's not possible to cancel the order. First I tried with a friendly way to settle that but as he refused to play nice I had to play that card. I just said that you know how many friends I have in Facebook. I guess that did the trick as he instantly accept to give us a full refund. Hi was one angry bastard when he left but I couldn't care less.

Only effective if they USE the internet
I got a fucking speeding ticket yesterday - $330 + 4 demerit points....can't really afford to pay it, nor take it up the ass from increased insurance costs....never had a moving violation in the past - only meter parking tickets, but for whatever reason, I decided to speed alot yesterday to get going to where ever faster - problem is, I blew by not one but two coppers...fuckin weather and unmarked cars.....think I'll fight this: let the system decide - if he doesn't show when the trial comes, I skate...if he does, I just pay up then n there....I think...suggestions???
