Are the pics of the collection still working?
I clicked on the earlier link but can't get into all the shoes. Am I being thick?

i hope that dude dont live in new orleans or any other natural disaster prone spots
its hard to put a price on what he would have paid for, really depends on wether he bought them when they came out (and it looks like he buys 20-30 at a time)
pretty good investment if you ask me, proly cost him 75-100k and the collection is worth over 300k by now

Yeah but trainer collecting is dying on it's arse so in two years it'll be worth less than he paid for it.

not really, there isnt many cool things to collect nowadays and thanks to shows like 'its in the shoes' theres a whole new generation of sneakerheads in the making
it's true that the hype has been slow in 06, we'll see what happens in 07
if the limited poker editions that new balance will come out with in fall dont get hyped, or the p-rod 2 black/red/cement, then im selling off all my shoes and moving onto somethin else
oh and if the graffity gonz dont go for over 200$ by 08 i'd be pissed too

It's allready very ill fella.
Loads of massive collectors are getting shot.
The train has allready left the station.
All that will be left will be the common man and he won't be prepared to pay more than £50 for a pair of trainers.

what are graffity gonz?
I think the trainer collecting is going out, but I will come back in. Shoes will get real plain again at least for a while (Mostly thanks to all the patent leather) They might not be worth much in 2 years but in 5 they will go back up.

Yeah, at the end of the day.. limited edition stuff, is always ltd edition..
Star wars figures became valuable and pupular years after the films cos of the rarety..
Old MK1 VW's and aircooled ones are rare and sought after even tho they might be full of rust..
So i recon kicks will always be desirable to the right people
