No worries at all, man. I hear ya and I agree. It was killing me to hear the two guys behind me, one of whom was obviously there only to help the other one out. Stuff like, "So what are these sneakers, anyway?" But the real killer was, it was obvious that they didn't even know EACH OTHER that well. The one, more experienced guy, was talking about a drop that he had gone to at Supreme a day or two earlier. He was saying that it was crazy and that he had gone with... and he had to search his head for the guy's name. He eventually just called him, "the new guy". And I'm thinking WTF is this? Some kind of "Goodfellas" shoe racket?

I've given people like those the worst hours of their lives for being blatant resellers.
Certainly wouldn't rule out clocking them.

Am I the only one who thinks there a bit boring and bland, just another pair of white/black 80s? the lace jewel looks fookin hideous, the 3m is a nice touch and makes them a bit different but I don't think it really fits in with the run dmc thing, I really don't think they justify the price tag, would rather have had the bapes.
Nice one for taking the family down and hooking up as many members as possible Tif

I totally disagree Carly
They were always gonna be white/blk wasn't they..It is Run Dmc afterall ..Couldn't really go with another colour.
I'm with you on the lace jewel i think but all the other touches/details sets them apart from just another blk/wht 80s.
I know you can't wear the box or see the "my adidas" tags on the inside of the tongue/or even outside when there laced or the dmc writing on the innersole..but all those things do it for me.
I'd deffo have these over the bapes
I can't wait to rock em with the TT and t-shirt anyways

For what they are (a 25th anniversary of My Adidas) they are perfect. I love the gold rope lace jewel, it's a nice touch and represents arguably the first "bling" in hip hop all those years ago. The problem is, after the 35th anniversary edition, there isn't really that much difference between these and those. But yes, I agree they are boring and bland, but so were the originals RUN DMC wore and it's a homage to them/My Adidas.
The shoe itself doesn't represent the price tag, agreed, but it's the fact there's only 1986 of them out there that justifies the price tag.
Unfortunately for me, I don't have the 35th or these so maybe I'm a bit biased towards them and RUN DMC. Been a 39 year old RUN DMC are gods and legends to me so hopefully one day I will have a pair of one or the other.

I agree the shoe doesn't quite represent the price tag, but that said, they do have a lot of detail and personally I think there has been put a lot more effort into these than the Bapes.
For those who don't like the lace jewels on the DMCs I'll be more than happy to take those of your hands, might even consider offering a little money
Only 30-40 of those and I'll have a nice fat gold chain

But there's already a white/black pair of rum dmc supes, so they change the model and some writing on the side, big wow, there is nothing that different or special about them that justifies the price tag. For me it just seems that adidas are taking the piss a bit screwing people for money with a pretty average supe but tying it in with run dmc because they know people will pay silly money for them. I'm not saying they're shit just a bit average for the price. Can we look forward to some white/black run dmc vins in a few years to screw people out of more money with over priced limited hyped up averageness?
Can I have your bapes then

Boring and bland? It's a classic colourway paying homage to run dmc .... There would never be another colourway for it than that. I think it's perfect.
Would be better with a chalk sole.....
But yeh, price is shit I agree on that.

never happy woman are ya..
Go back 6 nearly 7yrs how much were the 35th dmc's on release £99??? if so thats what $159 so thats only $41 more for these..Lets call it Inflation
RE: Soon come Superstars. -
Old Gregg - 13-11-11
I don't think they were that much, the 35th i remember seeing in the shops were 55-60 and the ones I have with price stickers on them are around that price, certainly no higher than 75.
They can't have been that good niko, you didn't even want them :p

Obvously the white w/black stripes cw is like their signature, but I still think they should have done them in black with the Run DMC logo in red and white on the heel instead. Would have been just as classic (are you paying attention, adidas) and a lot more different to the 35th model.
