Anyone tried suede/leather protectors such as nikwax....maybe they would work if you put them on from new....i think most of them are clear aswell so no worries on messing colours up etc...would need to read the label though to make sure....thoughts???

never heard of nikwax.. i swear by Woly wet blocker.. spray it on all me sneaks when they come out the box. ive given some skates a double coating before, 2 days in a field in the rain and my feet were bone dry, also keeps the dirt off them

same kind of thing then.....nikwax is used by mountain climbers and such like...they all the gore-tex sprays and washes etc

Nikwax can alter the appearance of the suede or nubuck. I use it but the suede does look slightly different after. If you drop a little water on most suede trainers youll notice they are impregnated with a coating to protect already. Good luck!!

i heard there is a weird gay fetish in germany where men buy really used trainers to do stuff with not sure what (dont want to think about that lol) probably the person that bid on these maybe was going to buy them for that reason - would anyone want to sell their trainers just so some mentalist could wank in them lol

@Grumpy It's available in Europe too. In Germany it's called "Schmutzradierer" or something like that which means Dirt Eraser (not from Mr.Clean though).

Take a look at your local drugstore. I think you will find something similar.
