I think a video 30 minute is required of Robert mincing around in his Vins (all ten pairs) so we can fully understand all these issues he's having :p

I too wear vins all the time and have never noticed any squeaking. You probably just need to wear them in a bit.

I've never had problems with squeaky Vins. Definitely my favourite type of Supes.
A couple pairs of 80's squeak though, but they're half a size too big. Tightening the laces seems to help.

My Motowns are my squeakiest pair. I have done something similar to what MrP suggested. I put the tape on the tongue itself parallel with the lace holes. I had better luck this way. Of course I fear that the tongue might get a bit sticky if I ever decide to remove the tape so there is that. The way to tell if it's your tongue squeaking is pushing down firmly on the lace holes while you are, sort of, stepping forward. If the sound goes away the problem is definitely the tongue. If you are convinced that it is your socks then try putting the scotch tape on the bottom of the tongue. Unless, you are saying that it is your socks slipping on the bottom of your foot. If that is the case then it sounds like you could go down a size or could stand to tighten the laces a bit. Remember not all models of vins(goes for 80's and II's as well) fit exactly the same way. I have all the same sizes but probably could go down a size with the vins cause they are a bit looser at the heal.

Thanks for the help Kungfu. My vins are a bit loose at the heel too.
I took my shoes off for a while and then put them on again. What do you think? No sqeaking. So it's definately my socks in combination with sweat I think
I'll try some insoles tomorrow.
O, and those pics of my GF, fogettaboutit

Ahh shame. Would have been a fresh change instead of the constant flow of squeaky socks on hairy legs slowly slipping out of supes.

No worries Robert...we didn't want you to spend hrs on end shaving the fur off and fetching her from the barn anyhow...

You could try heal liners too if you have heal slippage.
Btw, if your socks are sweaty, it's time to put a different pair of supes on! One for day - one for night...
