Akira is a quality film, haven't seen it for years though. I combine a couple of interests here and watch Intial D - Anime/Manga and drifting, I've got the first three series, plus the moive and some extra clips. Appartently there's more, but I can;t find it (at least not with english dubbing/subtitles anyway).

Initial D is dope deftoned! I bought the first two stages locally released and then ended up
buying the whole series over in malaysia because the rest hasn't come out here yet and I was waiting for ages.
Unfortunately the fourth series had subtitles that were a literal translation so it was hard
to make sense of them and my japanese isn't good enough to understand everything they say!

Hi again.
I see a few people are enquriing about anime.
There's generally two types:
1. Films
2. Japanese animated TV series'
Kenshin was a TV series and most of the most successful animes tend to be TV series first.
Great series' to check out if you're interested are:
Hajime No Ippo - Boxing (very, very good)
One Piece - Pirates (comedy, adventure - also excellent)
Naruto - Ninjas. Very developmental (follows them from when they were 6yrs old all the way through to adult - perhaps the most popular anime out there)
Bleach - Swordplay, heaven and some other stuff
Hokuto No Ken - Fist of the Northstar TV series (if you love the movie, you'll love this even more)
There are tons and tons of others and they are a fair departure from the old 'Manga' stuff like Akira, Ninja Scroll, Ghost In the Shell, Vampire Hunter D, Initial D etc, etc and far more development based (i.e obviously in a movie you get 90 odd minutes to tell a whole story, in the TV series they develop character in great detail over months or even years)
Type any of those into a search engine and you'll get a ton of torrents to start your adventure from.
Cheers.
