Thanks for the further replies. I might be careful about waiting too long with the quilted nubucks. I was going to wait, but in the UK they started selling out everywhere so I thought I should grab them whilst I still could!

Greetings all. Since I posted the photo of my collection, I have now added the quilted nubuck Superstar II TLs and I have also just got a pair of Superstar 80s in white with blue.
Having said that, something just doesn't look right about them. I have seen them in Cruise (high-end fashion retailer in Edinburgh and Glasgow) and they are identical to the pair that I purchased from Size Online. They are not lined in the same way as every other pair of adidas originals trainers that I have (13 other pairs) and they are also lacking the usual serial label under the tongue.
Is this normal on the SS80s? As I say, the ones I got from size are identical to those I saw in Cruise. Neither has the usual serial labels.
Both Size and Cruise are reputable places to buy, so there shouldn't be any question of fakery, but it seems strange to me that there is no lining and the serial labels are not present.
There is also the question of the leather (or leatherette, whichever it is) inner sole...
I'm guessing some of you real experts out there will tell me that these are features of the SS80s, but I would still like to know before I panic and return them!
As an aside, does anyone know anywhere that I can get a pair of plain Superstar 1s in the UK? Foot Locker have now stopped selling them in white and black (hence I bought the SS80s instead). They seemed to be the only place that had these in the UK, but they've been incredibly easy to find the last three times I've been abroad (Czech Republic and twice to Poland), just more expensive than they are here. In fact, quite a few shops, such as the addias originals store in Prague were displaying them right next to white and black Superstar IIs! Any ideas for that also appreciated...I just really want another pair of nice SS1s!

Hey man, Edinburgh guy here.
Probably a useless post as I don't own any 80's (yet), but if a place like Cruise is selling them that like that then that must be the way they're supposed to be. You obviously know your stuff man which is good to see. Obviously wait til a non drunk member (who know's that he is talking about) replies but you should be all good man.
How much they charging in Cruise by the way? Gonna be on George St tomorrow so might have a nose about.
Nice collection by the way, going for the classics which is ace.

Cheers mate, thanks for the reply. Seeing as they were in Cruise on George Street in a small batch of originals next to all the Y-3 stock, I was (almost) too scared to ask! But they didn't have a price on them and I was running past the door on my home from the office when I caught a glimpse and ducked in for a quick look. They're just under £60 on Size.
Very nice looking shoes the 80s, a bit like a Superstar 1 crossed with a Wilhem Bungert.
I should have added that the box looks identical to the most recent boxes I've got (the one that the nubuck TLs came in and also a pair of Stan Smith 2.5s that I bought last week).

Nothing to worry about m8 all the vin80s feature the serial number printed on the inside of the shoe as apposed to a label on the tongue. As for the lining and innersole thats just the vin 80s through bk to the originals m8.
Never fear yours are no different to any1else on ere and totally legit.
As for the ss1 id say ebay and i think sportiela.com still have some and maybe trainerstation.com not sure if thats the blk/wht version

Thanks for taking the time to reply mate. I appreciate it.
I had thought that would be the case, but I really also wanted someone who knows more than me to say the same thing!
I do like sportiela - they have a pretty good stock. Not unfortunately white and black SS1s with white rubber...but pretty much everything else. Even with international carriage, some of the prices really aren't that bad!

I keep meaning to get the camera out so I can let everyone see the full collection...and I even tracked down a pair of white and navy Superstar 1s!!!!!
