This question's has probably come up a ton, but how do you keep the bottom of the outer-sole clean? like right at the bottom edges around the sole?
i try to use toothpaste and a toothbrush, and it usually cleans everything very very well, except the edges just dont seem to come off, almost as if they're stained.

I like it.
Not cheap mind, but does exactly what it claims to and makes your supes sparkle. I used to use a vanish bar on the shells and midsole but stick with the Jason Markk now - smells nice too.

I just use a white rubber eraser. Or if needed dish washing agent and a nailbrush.
Another tip is if the white seam on the out sole has gotten dirty you can take some white shoe polish and rewhiten the seam. Wipe off the soles with a cloth.

The outer soles of my vins are harder to clean than my 80's and SS 1's/2's. Does Jason Markk make a difference?

I've been using shoe erasers as well - them first followed by toothbrush, warm water and soap
Seems to work fine

And most important don't wait to remove stains!

a toothbrush with toothpaste/soap/cif and those magic erasers cleans a lot but it doesn't give the soles the new-look.

Beware of a cleaning product called Jif Cream (in Sweden at least). It might remove colours!! Luckily it happened to a jar of catfood, not any of my kicks!

Oh no!!
I sort of got a stain on the jar and noticed how the colour came off...
