Well it takes about 15 min to make a "dough" and then mold it in to a bars. Then you just throw it in an oven for four hours.
Have to go make a breakfast out of it Smile

Congrats (if that's the right word) to all of you fellas celebrating Ramadan. As a guy who gave up all food and drink for 7 days (complete, not sun up to sun down) I know the challenge.

I've eaten about 2kg of salad today, offset by a litre or so of wine.

Salad is a hard one, totally agree with what you said earlier Zee, no matter how much you et you don't feel like you ate anything cos you haven't had any starch or protein/carbohydrate to speak of.
Totally pointless trying to lose weight if you're gonna drink a bottle of wine though fella.

Seriously. A few years ago I fasted, properly and gave up all food and drink bar water with lemon juice and cayenne pepper for 7 days. I lost weight, but did not feel the better for it. Physically nor mentally.

in terms of Pure's comment. Well. Having lost 60 lbs I can tell you that liquor affects you a lot differently than food. I've given up a lot of food, but kept the beer more or less the same. Yes, there have been days where I've not been able to eat because I've drank too much, but for a fella, nought too much wrong with a low level eating disorder.

Until you return to eating normally again and you can bet you'll gain that 60 lbs and probably another 10 lbs as well.Starvation diets don't work long term and are dangerous

As another member who celebrated Eid yesterday i have to say it's just good, and strange at the same time, to be eating or drinking during the day. Celebrated with a phat Malaysian spread round the mother in laws yesterday, and my final fasting meal the day before was my fave, Jerk Chicken, Rice & Peas with Dumplings. Boom!

Lorrie, hats off to you, that takes some doing. Must have been one crazy week!

I wouldn't say i was religious, i'd say i have faith! And I strongly believe in respecting other peoples opinions no matter what their spiritual beliefs might be.
Everyone has faith in something. Even those who don't believe in religion have faith in that fact.
