Reading about squirrels on wikipedia. This bit has me worried about you lot:
For most of the history of the United Kingdom, squirrel has been a meat not commonly eaten, and even scorned by many.[20]
But in the early 21st century, wild squirrel has become a more popular meat to cook with,[21] showing up in restaurants and shops more often in Britain as a fashionable alternative meat.[20] Specifically, U.K. citizens are cooking with the invasive gray squirrel, which is being praised for its low fat content and the fact that it comes from free range sources.[21] Additionally, the novelty of a meat considered unusual or special has added to the spread of squirrel consumption.[20] Due to the difficulty of a clean kill and other factors, the majority of squirrel eaten in the U.K. is acquired from professional hunters, trappers, and gamekeepers.[20]
Some British are eating the gray squirrel as a direct attempt to help the native red squirrel, which has been dwindling since the introduction of the gray squirrel in the 19th century.[20] This factor was marketed by a national "Save Our Squirrels" campaign that used the slogan, “Save a red, eat a gray!â€

Nothing wrong with eating squirrels, or horses.

okay for the first question the answer was D
reasoning:
MedEntry Wrote:The passage gives no information about the combined effect of a BAC of 0.10 and driving with a mobile phone. It cannot be assumed that this doubles the risk of having a crash - it could have less than double the effect or more than double the effect (option A). The passage states that having a BAC of 0.10 and speaking on the phone (whether handsfree or handheld) has a similar effect on the driver, and presumably a similar level of safety. Therefore option B is incorrect. Option C would be necessary for the results of the study to be valid, but is not necessarily true. Option D is supported by the fact that handheld and handsfree mobiles caused the same number of accidents. Note that option D is worded with less certainty than option C (‘the results suggest’).
D is also the answer for the second one:
MedEntry Wrote:Option D is the answer that can be concluded with most certainty from the passage. Since the inhabitants of Island R have not been exposed to mercury in drinking water, yet have a high incidence of Hobson’s Disease, it can be inferred that mercury in drinking water is not the only cause of the disease. Option A is incorrect. One example that may or may not suggest mercury is ‘safe’ is not enough to conclude that mercury in drinking water is ‘perfectly safe’. Option B is contradicted by the fact that ‘modern industry of any kind is unknown’ on Island R. Option C is explicitly contradicted by the passage, which states that mercury in drinking water occurs ‘only with certain types of industrial pollution’.
Basically the UMAT is an exam that examines you on how you are able to solve problems, look at patterns and solve things in a abnormal manner and how well you can understand the emotions that a person may be feeling. Sorry for the shoddy explanation but if i'm bothered i'll post up another one after i re-read another explanation. Oh yeah, this test is a requirement to be able to get into undergrad medicine in australia.

Yep, D & D - exactly what I had.
Weird occurrence: you know how on facebook there are 'suggested friends' that pop up? A former ebay seller in Chicago who I bought my UNDFTDs from and who used to outbid me on on various kicks just popped up as a suggested friend.
strange.
I have no idea how this happened...
